Apr 29, 2019 1 comments

If you try to install the .NET framework on a Windows 10 system with no internet connection you will receive an error like the one below.

To bypass this message and the need to connect to the internet, you will need to complete the following.

1) Obtain the Windows installation media of your system (Disk, or ISO file will work)

2) Insert the disk, or mount the ISO file to the system.

3) Run the following command, replacing “D” with the drive letter of the media you have in the system. In this case it’s “D”.

"Dism.exe /online /enable-feature /featurename:NetFX3 /source:D:\sources\sxs /LimitAccess"

4) The installation will begin and should install with no problem.

5) After it installs, make sure that .NET is enabled under Windows Features.

6) You are done.
